Three
Free Introductory Personal Training Sessions
To get your fitness program started on the right foot,
you can schedule three free sessions with a personal trainer
after you join.
1st Appointment
Fitness Assessment
During this 45-minute session, a personal trainer will
determine your fitness level by testing the following
areas: pulse rate, flexibility, weight, recovery heart
rate, muscle strength, body fat analysis and cardiovascular
fitness. During this session your trainer will calculate
your target heart rate and suggest a program based on
your fitness goals and information gathered during the
initial fitness assessment. Your equipment orientation
will also be scheduled.
2nd Appointment
Equipment Orientation
During this 45-minute session, your trainer will demonstrate
safe and effective ways to use the equipment in our fitness
center. Your trainer will also go over specific exercises
for your program and explain how to record your workouts.
Because flexibility is a key component of fitness, your
trainer will demonstrate proper form and technique during
the stretching portion of your workout.
3rd Appointment
One-month review
At the one-month mark, you may schedule an appointment
with your trainer to review your program. At this 30-minute
session, your trainer will review proper form and techniques
and adjust your program to fit your goals. It is recommended
that you schedule this meeting prior to your one-month
anniversary.

and free weights
After
years of studies, our industry has determined that weights
are a critical part of any successful workout. They help
prevent injury, make you stronger and more energetic and
will enhance your level of play in any other activity
that you participate in. When used properly, weights can
tone, bulk you up or both. Toning comes from more repetitions
at lower weights and bulking up comes from fewer repetitions
at higher weights.
